Organised by CLASSROOM and co-organised by Smart City Consortium, the AI for Good with micro:bit Competition will challenge students to tackle real-world problems using micro: bit and the CreateAI platform. Participants will leverage AI and STEAM technology to build innovative prototypes that solve community issues.

ROBOG Competition – Hong Kong Trials & Asia Cup

The ROBOG Competition Hong Kong Trials & Asia Cup serve as a premier regional stage for the World Robot Conference (WRC), which encompasses Trials, Championships, and Finals. As an official WRC category, ROBOG is designed to cultivate the next generation of AI and robotics professionals.

Organized exclusively by Big Dipper Studio as the sole agent and supported by UBTECH, the event currently highlights two AI-based collaborative robot contests tailored for primary and secondary students: "Planet Action" and "Igniting Action", with "Stellar Action" set to be added in the near future. In these challenges, young innovators program robots to solve complex tasks, fostering critical thinking, teamwork, and technical literacy.

By introducing this international platform, Big Dipper Studio provides a unique opportunity for students to showcase their STEM talents, test skills against global standards, and take their first steps toward shaping the future of AI.

HK AI+ GIS Youth Challenge 2026: Shaping a Smarter City

Organised by Esri China (HK) and GIS Academy, and co-organised by Smart City Consortium, this challenge will invite secondary students to explore GeoAI using the ArcGIS ecosystem. Combining Data Science and Geography, students will process big data and utilize AI for spatial analysis. Finalists will pitch live at LTE, showcasing how AI education fosters Hong Kong’s next generation of I.T. talent.

The Curriculum Development Institute of the Education Bureau implemented the territory-wide “Joyful Thousand-Mile Reading Cruise” Reading Award Scheme in the 2025/26 school year. The scheme aims to further enhance the reading ambience on campus and boost students’ reading motivation. Students are encouraged to explore various literacy genres and reading materials, and thus develop an active reading habit. Through multimodal reading, students can deepen their reading experiences, thereby further consolidating their reading ability and enhancing their language literacy.
