Kids’ AI Summit - Event Info

Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre

Participants:

Around 100 primary and secondary school students in Hong Kong (both local and international schools)

Audience:

Principals, Teachers, Parents and Students

Languages:

Cantonese, English, Putonghua

Format:

Each student will have 3 minutes to express their views on 5 different AI-related themes

Participant Age Limit:

6-15

Objectives

To provide a safe platform for children and teenagers to express their thoughts, questions, ideas, and concerns about AI, fostering active participation and dialogue.

To empower children and teenagers by valuing their opinions and ideas, making them feel heard and respected in discussions about technology that affects their future.

To foster critical thinking skills by encouraging children and teenagers to analyse the benefits and challenges of AI technology.

To arouse adults’ awareness about children and teenagers’ difficulties in managing their humanity with AI all-around them.

Features

Engaging Themes: Students will express their views on AI’s impact on different aspects, such as Education, Wellbeing, Safety & Security, Diversity, and Future Career.

Multilingual Presentations: Students will express their ideas in the language they are most comfortable with, ensuring their voices resonate powerfully with the audience.

3-Minute Spotlight: Each student will captivate the audience with their unique insights in just three minutes—short, sweet, and impactful!
